Document Actions

The Workforce 2010 initiative involves several studies designed to obtain current information about the community rehabilitation sector and future trends.

Service Provider Survey A detailed questionnaire was sent to a large number of service providers in Alberta to gather information about their organization and staff.
Focus Groups Group discussions and interviews were held throughout the province with family members of individuals receiving services, employers, service provider staff, educators, and those involved in helping people make career choices.
Omnibus Survey A telephone survey of 800 Albertans was conducted to find out what they know and their views on community rehabilitation and developmental disabilities.
Statistical Analysis Researchers studied census data to find out about the population of people with disabilities. They gathered information about children, youth, and adults with disabilities who receive services. Enrolment trends in colleges and universities, especially in disability-related programs, were also examined.

In addition to the studies described above, the Workforce 2010 initiative involves several other projects. These are described in the Activities Underway part of this web site.
